Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team in providing exceptional service. The Bar Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining inventory, and achieving sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Staff Management:
  Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff.
  Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.
  Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  
  
• Customer Service:
  Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  Develop and maintain strong relationships with regular patrons.
  
  
• Operational Management:
  Oversee bar operations during service hours.
  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  Maintain equipment and arrange for repairs as needed.
  
  
• Financial Management:
  Achieve sales and profitability goals.
  Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and waste.
  Prepare and analyze financial reports.
  Implement and manage cost-control measures.
  
  
• Marketing & Promotion:
  Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers.
  Plan and execute special events and promotions.
  Utilize social media and other marketing channels to promote the bar.

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in inventory management and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with bar equipment and POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in bartending or hospitality management is a plus.
• Rote Karte & First Aide training a plus

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative and innovative approach to marketing and promotions.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and inventory management software.
• German and English language proficiency
• Extensive knowledge of craft beer a plus

As Craft Beer Bar Staff at Vagabund Brauerei, you’ll be the go-to guide for our patrons' beer journey. Key Responsibilities

• Beer Knowledge & Recommendations: Provide expert recommendations and educate customers about different beer styles, origins, and flavor profiles.
• Pouring & Serving: Pour and serve a variety of craft beers with precision and care.
• Customer Engagement: Create a welcoming atmosphere, engage with customers, take orders, and ensure everyone has a great experience.
• Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Event Participation: Assist with and promote special events such as beer tastings, tap takeovers, and themed nights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bartending or a related field is preferred but not essential.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Minimum B1 German and English language skills.
